Role:
As the Leader of Pharmacy Verification, you lead strategy, policies, and a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate, compliant medication verification, while driving quality, pet safety, and customer satisfaction. With a focus on continuous improvement, you will lead the process, technology and team that liaises with vets to obtain verification approval for our online pet pharmacy customers. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, safety, and efficiency of medication dispensing. While "verification" is a key component, the role encompasses broader pharmacy operations and leadership.

Responsibilities:
• Verification and Compliance:
- Develop and implement comprehensive medication verification processes in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of medication orders, prescriptions, and dispensing.
- Oversee the verification activities of pharmacy staff, including training and performance evaluations.
- Maintain a high level of compliance with regulatory requirements related to medication dispensing.
- Develop, implement, and monitor pharmacy policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and safety.
- Stay up to date on industry best practices and implement them within the pharmacy.
- Develop KPI to track performance, identify trends and provide insight into process improvements.
- Continuously work toward process and performance improvements
- Provide leadership and direction to staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of verification services.
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPT) license in good standing.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or online pharmacy setting.
- 3+ Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Experience in Pet Health Industry a plus
- Experience with ecommerce a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in pharmacy management systems and computer applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Passion for pet health and well-being.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to:
- Travel up to 5% to sites beyond the corporate office.
- Perform light work – exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- See, hear, talk and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity; kneel, sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, reach, pull, push and other similar, repetitive tasks requiring physical activity.
- Able to operate standard office/computer equipment.
