The Role
The Manager of Talent Strategy at Compass is a specialized player-coach position designed for a talent acquisition expert who balances strategic architecture with relentless execution and has an interest in expanding their skills into other areas of HR over time. Reporting to the Chief Integration Officer, this role serves as the technical anchor for our talent strategy function, ensuring that Compass delivers elite, high-velocity talent solutions to our diverse client base every time.

As a production-heavy leadership role, you will lead by example, maintaining a high-impact portfolio with a billable target of 1,350 hours annually primarily dedicated to complex sourcing, talent calibrations, the building of talent workflows and programs, and other strategic talent projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the escalation point for complex or high-volume searches, solving challenges through direct mentorship, as well as hands on delivery.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of talent searches for complex client portfolios, setting the gold standard for quality and candidate experience.
  • Lead regular client update meetings to discuss talent searches and needed considerations for our clients.
  • Design and implement advanced sourcing and engagement strategies, ensuring our internal workflows and TA tech-stack are optimized for maximum agility.
  • Partner with client leadership to diagnose talent challenges, offering data-backed insights to build sustainable pipelines that align with their long-term goals.
  • Handle recruitment escalations and process discipline, allowing leadership to focus on broader operational and growth initiatives.
  • Manage internal tracking of talent strategy team capacity, escalating challenges and capacity needs to Chief Integration Officer as they arise.
  • Maintain robust reporting and analytic dashboards for both individual and programmatic client talent acquisition requests, ensuring that our data-driven philosophy is always represented.
Experience and Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Master’s in a related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of full-cycle recruiting and talent strategy experience required.
  • 2+ years of experience serving in a TA Lead or Manager role required.
  • A background in both corporate and consultative environments highly preferred.
  • Expert-level knowledge of modern ATS platforms, advanced sourcing tools, and recruitment marketing strategies required.
  • Past demonstrated experience recruiting for roles at all levels of an organization required, ideally across multiple domains or departments.
  • Experience implementing talent acquisition workflows required.
  • The ability to maintain rigorous process discipline across diverse client portfolios while thriving in a high-speed environment.
  • This is a full-time, remote role that requires the ability and intuition for up to 30% travel to support onsite client needs and business development events.
