Who We Are Looking For
We invite you to join our team as an After School Group Supervisor. This role is pivotal in creating memorable and enriching experiences for our young learners during their after-school hours.
This is a part-time role, working select days Monday thru Friday from 1-6 PM or 2:30-6PM, with 10-20 hours a week available.
Essential Duties:
- Oversee the safety and well-being of children during the afterschool program.
- Design, coordinate, and implement a variety of educational, recreational, and enrichment activities.
- Provide academic assistance and guidance on homework tasks.
- Foster and sustain positive relationships with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
- Collaborate with the team to constantly improve and innovate the afterschool experience.
Experience/Education Requirement:
- Prior experience in education, childcare, or youth-centered programs OR a requisite number of post-secondary credits in Education or Child Development.
- Compliance with all background checks and completion of requirements set forth by the Department of Human Services (DHS).
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building capabilities.
- A deep commitment to the development and well-being of young individuals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices.
- Ability to plan and facilitate engaging activities for different age groups.
- Skilled in developing and implementing educational, recreational, and enrichment activities.
- Ability to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think creatively, adapt to changing situations, and find innovative solutions.
- Ability to lead and work collaboratively with Assistant Teacher to ensure classroom success.
- Ability to follow safety regulations and procedures, and maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with young children.
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with youth and a commitment to fostering their growth, development, and wellbeing.
The compensation for this role is $19-$24/hour, depending on relevant experience and alignment.
