MRK Partners is seeking a dynamic Program Services Coordinator, who will collaborate with the asset management team, property management staff and on-site volunteers to find creative ways to meet the needs of more than 11,000 residents. This role will implement and oversee the programs and services at all properties throughout MRK Partners real estate portfolio.

This role will have travel required throughout the year to the property sites included in the MRK portfolio (FL, CA, MD, VA, MI and MO)- up to 20% of the time. 

This role may be based in Los Angeles or Boca Raton in our office locations.  Remote candidates will also be considered.

What you will do:

  • Develop and implement programs utilizing local and national organizations at each property within the portfolio.
  • Create systems to document and assess resident needs, including scanning community resources, conducting resident surveys and focus groups, establishing resident leadership forums.
  • Establish long-term, comprehensive goals for resident programs using assessment data to create a roadmap.
  • Secure input and commitment for goals from the company’s leadership team, the community, and resident leadership/volunteers.
  • Identify, cultivate and manage resources that help achieve resident goals, including engaging non-profit service providers, government agencies, faith-based institutions, funders, volunteers and resident volunteers.
  • Match resources to identified resident needs, establish partnership roles and responsibilities, monitor program delivery and track outcomes.
  • Ensure robust resident engagement and participation in all resident services programs. 
  • Provide ongoing evaluation and outcome reporting for programs and partnerships. Adjust goals, metrics and partnerships in response to resident achievements and feedback.
  • Build a portfolio wide network of volunteers. Provide support, training and supervision to volunteers. 
  • Serve as spokesperson for the company on resident committee meetings, in programs and at conferences.
  • Support the leadership team in resident service program planning for new affordable housing properties.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of experience in community services, social services, and or non- profit events administration required. Degree in social work highly preferred. 
  • Demonstrated work experience with progressive responsibilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including low to moderate income families, individuals with disabilities, senior citizens, and other diverse populations.
  • Able to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
  • Bilingual language capabilities preferred – Spanish.

The base salary for this role is $75,000-$85,000, depending on experience.
