Exus is seeking a Corporate Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of the Exus IPP account(s). This role involves complex financial reporting, budgeting, risk management, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Exus is seeking a Corporate Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of the Exus IPP account(s). This role involves complex financial reporting, budgeting, risk management, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including consolidation.
- Oversee and support complex technical accounting responsibilities and issues, including but not limited to within complex debt, derivatives, purchase price accounting, leasing, etc.
- Manage and support company acquisitions including but not limited to within the areas of purchase price accounting, onboarding a new company, consolidations, and intercompany entries.
- Oversee yearly audit, coordinating with external auditors.
- Identify and evaluate financial risks and implement strategies to address and mitigate potential challenges.
- Manage and support the day-to-day operations ensuring all basic accounting functions are performed properly and meeting deadlines.
- Oversee various account reconsolidations (including Bank Reconciliations) and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Analyze financial reports pre-close and post-close to determine trends, estimates, and significant challenges.
- Assist in various internal and external Audit Requests.
- Oversee the intercompany processes between companies, and guide the accounting team by defining goals, implementing processes, and providing guidance.
- Stay current on technical accounting practices to guarantee the consistent application of corporate accounting principles in full compliance with US GAAP.
- Implement and uphold internal controls and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Licensed CPA.
- 6-8 years of financial experience, including supervisory responsibility, current or recent controllership experience preferred.
- Prior experience with a Big 4 firm or public accounting, manufacturing, or large public company preferred.
- Experience managing and mentoring teams, and support competing priorities and changing directions.
- Experience in the selection and successful implementation of a new ERP system.
- Technical knowledge of US GAAP required and experience or familiarity with International Accounting Standards a plus.
- Wind and/or solar energy, real estate, construction project, renewable energy industry and partnership experience helpful.
