Accelerant Law is seeking a Staff Attorney to join our growing team in a flexible, supportive, and highly collaborative environment. This role is ideal for an attorney who is looking for a non-traditional or flexible schedule, values hands-on learning, and wants meaningful exposure to sophisticated estate planning and trust administration work.
The Staff Attorney will work closely with senior attorneys on a wide range of matters, including estate planning, trust administration, and private trust company operations. You will be directly involved in client work from the outset, with mentorship and guidance provided along the way. Prior experience in trusts and estates is preferred but not required—we are committed to training the right candidate who is detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn.
Location:
This position is open only to candidates who are physically located in Nevada and actively licensed to practice law in Nevada. The role will be a hybrid role, with a preference for the attorney to work from our Nevada office location 2 days per week.
Essential Responsibilities:
Estate Planning Drafting
- Draft core estate planning documents, including: Revocable and irrevocable trusts, Wills, Powers of attorney, Advance health care directives, Trust amendments and restatements.
- Support senior attorneys in implementing advanced estate planning strategies for UHNW clients.
- Assist with administration of client private trust companies.
- Prepare internal documentation and compliance materials.
- Draft agendas, resolutions, minutes, and supporting materials.
- Help organize and assemble meeting materials and follow-up action items.
- Assist with formation of limited liability company’s entities.
- File annual lists for private trust companies.
- Draft and revise operating agreements and related governance documents.
- Assist with probate filings and court-supervised estate administrations.
- Prepare inventories, accountings, and beneficiary communications.
- Coordinate with fiduciaries, financial institutions, and other advisors.
- Draft federal gift tax returns (Form 709).
- Assist with estate tax return data collection and coordination.
- Prepare deeds and real estate transfer documents.
- Coordinate recording and related filings.
Experience / Education Requirements:
- Active Nevada Bar license in good standing; must be located in Nevada.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience or demonstrated interest in trusts and estates.
- Experience or exposure to trusts, estates, probate, or trust administration preferred.
- Strong drafting, organizational, and multitasking capabilities.
- Self-motivated attorney with a strong work ethic and client-service mindset.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000, based on relevant experience.
